The Ayahuasca Healing Retreats are designed to provide treatment for any and all afflictions. People who have lost hope in their own culture's medicine, who have become frustrated with the pharmaceutical fantasies promoted by the medical industry, who are desperate for a way to make the necessary changes in their lives, can find what they seek by attending a healing retreat in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru. Some patients may be healed and ready to start their new lives when the retreat ends, but should they find their faith in plant spirit medicine strengthened by their experience, although not completely healed, then they may decide to continue treatment with an extended stay.

The retreats are either two or three weeks long and are meant to help participants turn a difficult corner in their lives that will enable them to begin heading in a new direction. With the assistance and guidance of an authentic Amazon healer, retreat participants follow individualized treatment plans that often include plant remedies, special diets, plant baths, spiritual counseling, and sometimes massage, exercise, and divination.

Held primarily at jungle camps away from the noise of the busy city of Iquitos, retreats also include trips to the local zoo, a butterfly conservatory, a national reserve, the medicinal plant market, the floating village of Belen, the Iquitos museum, and a special visit to the Bora tribe. Each activity is used to enhance the transformation process in a particular manner, and to provide pleasant memories and the chance to take amazing photos and/or video. A schedule of upcoming retreats will be available as well as an event calandar.

In addition to the Healing Retreats offered by the Foundation itself, the website will also provide a listing of all the available retreats involving ayahuasca. Similar to the curandero and plant directories, each program will be provided a myspace page with access to update it as needed. Information on these pages will include the dates of upcoming retreats and events, itineraries for these events, and their prices. The comments section will be especially useful as past participants will be encouraged to leave their comments to help future participants find the most appropriate and beneficial healing experience.

The Ayahuasca Foundation will be the source for everything related to ayahuasca. When someone decides to look online for information on ayahuasca, they will immediately find the Foundation's website and from there they will find everything they were seeking. It is our hope to facilitate the process of patients finding the right treatment, as well as students finding the right teacher. Plus, if someone is simply seeking information, then the Foundation will help them find it, if not provide it directly. More and more people must become aware of the power of the spirit, and ayahuasca and the curanderos of the Amazon Rainforest are waiting for them to come to Peru and find the answers to their questions, the solutions to their problems, the paths that lead to their destinies.
