Assist with Research or Community Outreach Programs

The best donation is time spent touching the lives of people who don't realize how much they have to offer and as they show appreciaction to you, you will set an example to them of their importance to the world. By seeing the joy and fulfillment you feel being with them, they will feel the confidence to continue their ancestral traditions.

Helping with the research projects might involve time spent recording interviews, ceremonies, or even plant vibrations for use as observational data. A lot of data simply needs organizing, compiling, or filing. Many of the projects can be assisted from home on a computer as well.

The plant directory is an easy way to help because you don't have to make a large commitment of time and it can actually be kinda fun. The plant directory will utilize myspace to create profile pages for each specific plant. The plants will provide information regarding many different aspects like appearance, preferred environment , chemical properties, biological details, and medicinal properties. Preparation of remedies will be discussed, and photos will be posted. The Foundation will supply volunteers with all the data and an email address and password to use to set up the page. The pages will need to follow a basic format, but volunteers are encouraged to continue their research of the plants to enhance their profile pages.

Volunteers for the Community Outreach Program will accompany authentic curanderos to jungle communities to assist with reeducation programs, the planting of medicinal plant gardens, fruit orchards, and plantations, the construction of community centers, and the teaching of medicinal plant preparation. For a small fee, volunteers will be able to experience an amazing project, and will actually assist in bringing back westernized jungle communities to a self-sufficient state, independent and autonomous again. Learn from a true maestro and feel the joy of knowing that you are contributing to a project that will expand the indigenous tradtions of these people's ancestors.
