The floating village of Belen. Everyone who visits Iquitos should visit this village. It is quite an experience. The residents of Belen live in houses that float on the Amazon river. They are all connected and reach from the shore quite some distance out into the river. The only mode of travel is by boat which makes for a very interesting stroll through town. Boats for hire can be found near the market.
